"The More Personal, The More Powerful"

I'm a big believer in "the more personal, the more powerful. " Whenever there's a Feng Shui cure to be had, the more that cure resonates with you, the more effective it will be in your space and your life.

All too often I've been called into a home previously visited by another Feng Shui practitioner whom the clients did not fully understand. The reason for the cures presented them were not fully comprehended and, thus, not fully realized. Remember: You need to know the intentions, if you expect your actions to affect change.

Perhaps you need to energize the chi in the Prosperity* corner of your land. Where a crystal or light or plant might work for a small area, it won't work outside in a field. You need big changes and unique changes in order for the cures to fit you and your space.

One home might establish their recycling center or compost pile in the Prosperity corner of the property. Prospering the energy of recycling can grow the notion of reusing family wisdom or family support to further family needs. How wonderful! It's always a good thing to recycle or reuse the products and information you possess. Only good follows.

But what about a smaller venue? Another client might be interested in planting a garden or providing for lush trees with purple flowers in their Prosperity corner. Adding the energy of the color purple makes your Prosperity cures that much more powerful, as the entire spectrum of purple resonates with the vibration of prosperity.

But even if it's not purple at all, anything thriving and alive will pump good energy into that area and into your life. The important thing is to discern the wonderful and unique solutions specific to your needs. The possibilities are unlimited.

What ails you? Identify the offending environmental challenge and consider the perfect Feng Shui response, as only you and your practitioner can by working together.

Pay attention to the images that flash into your mind. That is your "inner Feng Shui master" speaking to you. You may not know why an image appears, but your helpful practitioner can guide you through the nuances of that idea along with each and every other enhancement to your space.

Need something at the entrance to your home? Where is your eye drawn upon entry? Does that piece tell the story of your home life? Make a statement.

If a stream of water representing money and opportunity is called for, acknowledge that all good flows toward you as you discern the best cure. A fountain, aquarium, or even a picture of water can all be wonderful testaments to new, generous awakenings in your life.

That's the powerful thing about Feng Shui cures. The more they resonate with you, the more dramatic the energy they provide; hence, the more impact in the solutions. So, what speaks to you?

* Editor's note: Life areas are located in different areas according to different streams of Feng Shui thought. For example, the Prosperity corner is in the far left, using three door Feng Shui methods, or the SE, using traditional methods.
