The differences between a professional and other Feng Shui training programs are in the details.  All of our member schools maintain standards of excellence in their training, curriculum, materials, and instruction.  There are many books, videos, and workshops that can be a catalyst toward wanting to learn more.  But we believe there is no substitution to excellent instruction by highly trained, committed, and seasoned professionals.

Why Gold Level?  International Feng Shui Guild Gold Level Schools are professional Feng Shui programs who have accepted and signed a commitment agreement that stipulates they will embrace both:
• the Universal Topics, the basic foundation of knowledge recognized by most perspectives and Feng Shui Schools
• the IFSG-recommended minimal training time allotment as part of their training curriculum

All school directors are International Feng Shui Guild Professional members who have committed to the IFSG Code of Ethics, created to uphold a high degree of professionalism and standards.  In addition, Gold Level School Directors must maintain a Red Ribbon Professional membership which indicates they have further demonstrated a general baseline of knowledge in Feng Shui – known as the Universal Topics - by passing a comprehensive assessment - giving you further confidence in their direction, instruction, and program.

Questions to ask a school before enrolling:

• What perspective of Feng Shui is taught? (Traditional, BTB, Western, Flying Stars, etc.)
• When I complete the program, will I be certified to practice Feng Shui?
• How many hours of training? How is the program structured (on-site, Internet correspondence, etc.)? 
• What is the curriculum?
• How long is the program? What is the cost?
• Are there other costs excluding tuition? (i.e., books, supplies, red envelope fees, off-site training, etc.)
• Who are the instructors? What is their background and training?
• Are there advanced certifications available?
• Are there certifications available in related disciplines? (i.e., space clearing, green design, etc.)
• Is there a follow-up support program?
• May I have the names of two certified graduates for reference?
