Maureen is a Red Ribbon Professional member of IFSG, a Certified Feng Shui and Building Biology Practitioner.
Co-creator and faculty at the Metropolitan Institute of Design's Universal Feng Shui Practitioner Certification Program, Maureen has developed and launched this program with IFSG colleagues Christine A. Bushell and Karen L. Ferraro. This program is currently an IFSG Silver-Level School.
She is certified in the Black Sect Tibetan Buddhist tradition (BTB) and is currently studying Classic Feng Shui.
From simple recommendations, to renovation and building projects, Maureen works with her clients to create spaces that promote physical and psychological health. Incorporating nature into the built environment, Maureen provides guidance on the use of layout, the five Chinese elements, objects, colors, materials, shapes and textures. Through the ancient principles of Feng Shui, Maureen restores balance and harmony. How an environment feels is just as important as how it looks.
Maureen offers a unique perspective in her work. By balancing her twenty years in a traditional corporate marketing career with her passion for studying Eastern philosophies and esoteric thought, Maureen has integrated her ideology into a thriving business. As a consultant, writer and a speaker at workshops and business meetings, Maureen works with corporations, non-profit organizations, small businesses and individuals who want their buildings to emanate positive energy for its clients, employees and inhabitants.
“Being Green” As an environmentalist, Maureen has a passion for reclaiming the Earth and establishing a connection to nature through her work. Building and living “green” is an extension of what Feng Shui is all about – being in balance. Maureen works with her client’s needs and requirements to help them source the right materials and sustainable products for healthy building, renovation and re-design. Working with clients, architects and designers for bringing harmony into their spaces, Maureen helps clients realize their potential in all aspects of their lives with solid, practical solutions.
She offers remote consultations as well as on-site in Long Island, NYC and CT area.
As co-Marketing Director for the IFSG, Maureen also co-chairs the Green Living & Design Committee and works with her colleagues to build a bridge with the architecture and design communities with the common goal of sustainable building practices.
Maureen has been a columnist for several Long Island publications and is a contributing writer for examiner.com. She leads workshops on Feng Shui and related topics all over Long Island - at business meetings, local libraries and universities and colleges, such as SUNY Stonybrook, SUNY Farmingdale, NY College of Health Professions and SUNY at Old Westbury, NY. Maureen continues her study of Feng Shui and related topics by attending workshops with Professor Lin Yun, Alex Stark, Karen Kingston, and The Clairvision School, among others.
