School Membership Criteria

  • Curriculum main focus is Feng Shui. Additional programs do not prohibit eligibility (such as dowsing, business, space clearing) as long as primary coursework offered is Feng Shui.
  • Minimum certification course length is 40 hours which can include both self-study and live interaction.
  • Some in-person or online live interaction required. Cannot be exclusively self-study [exclusive self-study opportunities defaults to continuing education].
Two paths to school membership with the same great benefits…

1. Linked School Membership – School director maintains an individual consultant membership (Professional or Red Ribbon Professional) and receives an annual discount on their individual membership. If you are not a current IFSG member, click here for more information to get started. Annual $215 US + price of discounted individual membership
2.  School Membership – School or certification program that does not have an individual owner or director; ideal for university or other school type programs. Annual $325 US

Gold Designation – Linked School Memberships may apply for Gold Designation if they meet the following:

  • Certification course must present a minimum of 35 hours of Universal Topics as part of curriculum.
  • School director must be a Red Ribbon Professional member.
  • Submit application for review by IFSG review team and are approved for Gold designation.

Gold Designation is an optional process; not applying does not prohibit a school from becoming an IFSG listed school.

IFSG members, who are Gold Designated Program graduates, are eligible to take the Red Ribbon Assessment at any time.  IFSG members who studied from any other program not designated as Gold, either IFSG member school or non-member school, may sign up for the Assessment after a minimum of one year of IFSG membership.

If I were asked to give the IFSG a "good chi" rating, it would absolutely, without a doubt be a 10+! The IFSG , in my opinion, is one of the most expansive ways to generate awareness of Feng Shui. It was the very first connection that I made after receiving my certification more than 15 years ago, and it has been a wonderful source of information and exposure for my school and business since then.

As my school started to evolve, perspective students were contacting me after locating my information on the IFSG website. This definitely helped to build my business and has opened many doors for various opportunities and speaking engagements. Connect and expect!

Feng Shui School Spotlight Interview

About Western School of Feng Shui from founder, Terah Collins…

Q: Please describe your very first coming into awareness about Feng Shui.

A: Terah: I moved to San Diego in 1990 and soon after, was dragged to a lecture by a well-meaning friend on a subject I had zero interest in. I called it Fang Shuey. The speaker was Dr. Richard Tan, Taiwanese acupuncturist and Feng Shui expert, and he completely took me by surprise. He described our homes and offices as living bodies “who” we are in intimate relationship with, whether we know it or not. “When we consciously embrace this relationship,” he said, “we can partner with our surroundings to hold our vitality, prosperity, and happiness in place.”

By the time he finished, I was on fire. This was my future, I could feel it! I registered for all of his Feng Shui classes and dove in.
