About Me

The integration of ancient feng shui wisdom with modern psychological understanding reveals spaces as living entities—not merely inert backdrops to our lives, but dynamic environments alive with story, emotion, and both conscious and unconscious elements. This foundational insight drives Dr. Morris’s pioneering work in Feng Shui Psychology.

Through Dr. Morris’s doctoral research examining psychiatrists’ offices through the lens of feng shui, this approach proved that feng shui serves as an effective tool for discovering aspects of the unconscious mind. The study revealed that therapeutic spaces hold transference, meaning, and psychological material that traditional analysis often overlooks. When therapists viewed their consultories through the feng shui bagua, they gained unprecedented insights and spontaneously made changes to their spaces.

As a depth psychologist trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Feng Shui, and recovery modalities, Dr. Morris brings a unique perspective to environmental work. Through her house calls as a psychotherapist, she discovered that more could be learned about clients in one visit to their homes than in years of traditional office sessions.

Dr. Morris’s Feng Shui Psychology particularly serves those in transition—whether moving homes, changing relationships, adjusting family size, or evolving their professional practice. Her approach recognizes that different parts of ourselves may have varying relationships with our environment, and that healing our connection to space often requires addressing internal dynamics. With years of psychotherapy experience, her sessions are very focused and productive for clients.

She specializes in working with NYC apartments and offers rotating programs for various groups with special pricing as part of her philosophy of giving back.  Initial 1-hour sessions over zoom are followed up by 30-minute sessions over zoom. Psychologically-focused intentional effective feng shui can be done in short segments.

The work demonstrates that spaces can reveal unseen patterns and challenges while simultaneously possessing the power to shift those patterns and foster success. With careful attention to both feng shui principles and psychological understanding, environments become powerful allies in personal and professional development.

Through publications in Psychotherapy Networker Magazine, Remodeling, Natural Home, and the book Feng Shui Psychology & Psychiatry, these concepts continue to bridge ancient wisdom with contemporary psychological practice.
