Julie Ann is a seasoned professional, having graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BFA in Interior Design. With a career spanning over three decades, she founded Metro Interiors in 1992. Her expertise is further bolstered by her certification from the Wind & Water School of Feng Shui and hermembership in the Feng Shui Institute of the Midwest and the International Feng Shui Guild
In addition, Julie Ann has served on the Advisory Board for Century College’s Interior Design program. She has guided numerous new designers to secure internships and find their career direction in Interior Design.
In 2023, Julie Ann published her first book, Change Your Space to Change Your Life. She shares her approachable guide to Feng Shui-centered interior design that intersects spirituality, energy work, aesthetics, and personal connection. Julie Ann is not just a designer but a proud mother of four children, a Minneapolis resident, and a woman who finds joy in running, yoga, music, the mystical arts, and travel. Her passion for art extends beyond her professional life, as she has taken up oil painting.
