Jen Jane has been rearranging the furniture since childhood! She has always loved to use the placement of furniture, artwork and lighting to create amazing energy in any space.
She holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and is an active composer and singer. When she met her husband through music, they shared a passion for arranging environments and were always challenged by a need to create multi-functional—music studio + living spaces—in small New York City apartments. During this time, she honed her intuition and became increasingly sensitive to subtle energies. She considers these years of practice integral to her Feng Shui training, as well as several years working in high-end restaurants and observing how functional, streamlined, successful spaces were put together.
Following an unforgettable evening at a party where a group of friends used Feng Shui to rearrange the host’s bedroom (and subsequently held music performances in the freshly arranged space), Jen Jane began to learn all she could about Feng Shui. When she had a baby in 2016, Feng Shui became a predominant form of creativity that she could do at home with a newborn. Rearrangements became a frequent activity among friends just hanging out, and the process and results were so exciting that friends encouraged her to start a business.
In 2017 she launched Ship Shape Chalet in Brooklyn, NY, helping clients shift the energy and flow of their spaces through intuition, the wisdom of Feng Shui, and decluttering methods influenced by Marie Kondo.
She loves plants and enjoys using Feng Shui in gardening. Jen Jane values her ability to connect with clients in an atmosphere of trust and understanding. She became a Certified Feng Shui Consultant through study with James and Helen Jay (senior students of the late H.H.Thomas Lin Yun, Grand Master of the B.T.B. School of Feng Shui) and is a Red Ribbon Professional member of the International Feng Shui Guild.
