The very evening that Katherine Metz was introduced to His Holiness Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun, the Grand Master of Black Sect Buddhism, world-renowned philosopher and lecturer, she knew that she was meant to chronicle the wisdom of his Black Sect teachings.
Her occupation at the time allowed her to experience firsthand the power of place as a successful location scout for film and video in the San Francisco Bay Area. Katherine also took it upon herself to learn the German field of Bau-Biologie: the holistic study of the built environment and its impact on human and planetary health. With the same entrepreneurial spirit that created her interior landscaping business Blooming Success, Katherine created The Art of Placement.
Over the years, Katherine chronicled her teacher’s words, honoring his knowledge by chronicling his teachings as succinctly as possible. She now expertly shares her first-hand account of 25 years of Professor’s teachings and over 40 years of experience as a practitioner, teacher, and mentor. Her quiet presence and nuanced writings continue to educate and inspire students and practitioners around the world.
Today, Katherine’s first insight has been fulfilled and appears as the extensive archive and advanced training with Mindful Design Feng Shui School called Pure Professor: Journey to Mastery. Pure Professor is for experienced feng shui practitioners who would like to deepen their knowledge of Black Sect feng shui. In this program you will gain access to Katherine’s exclusive archive of Professor’s teachings, as well as her 40 years of experience.
