As Kerstin mentioned, there is not one “best direction” for your head to face. From a BTB perspective, I’d recommend you first place the bed in command position. Command position is typically the farthest from the door, facing the door. What this means is that when you are laying or sitting up in bed you can see the door. This allows you the greatest opportunity to be ready for whatever is coming at you in life (and through the doorway) so you are not surprised. You also do not want the bed in line with the door to the bedroom or bathroom as that’s too much energy coming at you while you sleep. (There are cures if there is no other placement in the room).

Once the bed is in the command position, I then look at the direction of the bed. This is determined as the facing direction when you are standing at the end of the bed. You would need to know your Ming Gua number to determine this and then there are specific cures to place if you and/or your partner are facing a challenging direction.

Hope this helps!

Hello Dear One,

There is no general best direction for sleeping. We will find your Personal Energy Number in Feng Shui using your birth date. That way, we can tell exactly what your best directions are. It is like half the room supports you and the other half does not.

Here are some general tips that can help you right away:

  • Make sure you can see the bedroom door.
  • Avoid having mirrors reflecting your bed.
  • Do not have a desk or exercise equipment in your bedroom.

Sleep well.
